By shanobiju My Cookery Zone May 30, 2017 IngredientsFor the dough 500 g All purpose flour/ Maida3 tbsp Oil Warm waterFor the filling 250 g Minced chicken/mutton1 cup Large Onion ( finely cut)1/4 cup Curd1/2 tsp Sugar1/4 cup Chopped tomatoes Coriander leaves (a bunch)4 tbsp Oil Sliced onion2 tsp Lemon juice Oil for frying Masala to be ground3 tbsp Red chillies finely chopped 3/4 tsp Cumin Cinnamon 1" piece 2 Cloves 3 tbsp Garlic paste2 tsp Black pepper 1/4 cup Freshly grated coconut Directions1Mix the flour in warm water with oil .Knead well and keep aside for an hour.2Meanwhile prepare the masala.3Grind all the ingredients including coconut into a fine paste.4Keep the minced meat ready.5In a frying pan, add oil. Now add finely cut onion and sugar. 6When it starts to brown,add the ground ingredients and fry well for a few minutes.7Now add chopped tomatoes. Fry well.8Now add minced chicken/ mutton. 9Add salt and cook well until the meat is tender.10Keep stirring.Remove from heat . Do not add extra water. This should be dry.11Keep it aside.12Keep cherry tomatoes, onion slices , coriander leaves, lemon juice and finely chopped red chillies ready for the filling.13Take three small balls each weighing around 40 gms.14Roll each one of them into very thin circles .15Make a paste with All purpose flour and oil.16Apply it on one of the layer.17Then place the second circle on it.18Apply the maida / oil mixture on it .19Now place the third circle.20Divide it into four triangles.21Take two triangles and flatten it a bit with a rolling pin.22Place the cooked chicken/ mutton masala , cherry tomatoes, onion slices , finely chopped red chillies and a bit of lemon juice.23Make a thick paste of Maida and water to seal the edges.24Now place the other triangle on top of it and seal the edges.25In a frying pan , pour enough oil for deep frying.26When the oil is hot , deep fry it without turning it much . Fry until it is crispy and golden brown in colour. Drain the oil and serve hot.28Repeat the process or refrigerate the dough and the filling separately.
