1Grease and dust a 6" round tin or ring mould . Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder thrice. Pre heat the oven at 150 degree C.
2Cream the butter and sugar . Add slightly beaten egg.
3Gently fold in the sifted dry ingredients and red wine,starting and ending with flour. Add grape essence. Fold in choco chips.
4Transfer the batter into the prepared cake tin .Bake at 150 degree C for 35 mins or until done.
For the glaze
1Let the cake cool a bit.Beat 3 tbsp of red wine and 1/2 cup confectioners sugar well using a whisk. Pour over the cake and refrigerate for 10 mins.
