1Pre heat the oven at 140 degree c. Grease and dust a 7" cake tin. Heat the milk.Let it boil for a minute.Turn off the heat and keep it aside. Now in a separate bowl melt the butter and keep it aside. Powder the granulated sugar . Keep the sweet lime zest and juice ready . Sift the flour with baking powder thrice.
2Chop the dehydrated apples in to small pieces.
3In a bowl , beat the egg well .Add powdered sugar little by little. Add the sweet lime zest. Beat it until it is almost stiff and light yellow in colour.
4Using a spatula , gently fold in flour.
5Add milk .Milk should be warm.
6Now gently fold in melted butter.
7Add sweet lime juice.
8Divide the batter into two portion. To one part ,add three drops of grape essence and cocoa powder.
10Spoon in both the batter alternately.
11Using a toothpick ,give a gentle swirl .
13Place dehydrated apple on top. Do not shake or stir.
14Bake at 140 degree c for 35 - 40 mins or until done.
