1Grease and dust a 6” aluminium pan.
2Lightly toast the walnuts on low flame.Coarsely ground the walnuts .
3Chop the berries finely.
4Pre heat the oven at 150 degrees C.
5Sift the flour, baking powder and baking soda thrice.
6Cream butter and sugar.
7Add gently beaten egg and freshly ground cardamom.
8Add the sifted flour and lukewarm milk.
9Gently fold the batter using a spatula.
10Add walnuts, blueberries and water.
11Fold the batter very gently.
12Transfer the batter into the prepared tin.
13Bake for 40-45 minutes until done.
14Remove the cake from the tin to a wire rack.
15Let it cool well.
16Meanwhile prepare the glaze.
17Mix icing sugar, milk,cardamom powder and salt well. Keep stirring until the consistency is thick. Refrigerate the glaze for 30 minutes.
18Pour over the cake and serve.
