Honey Apple Cake

140 g All purpose flour/ Maida

3/4 tsp Baking powder

1 tsp Nutmeg powder

1/2 tsp Salt

2 Egg

1/4 cup Refined oil

100 g Brown sugar

1/4 cup Honey

100 g Apple peeled and grated

1 tbsp Lemon juice


1Grease and dust a 6” aluminium tin. Pre heat the oven at 140 degrees C.

2Sift the flour, salt , nutmeg powder and baking powder thrice. Keep it aside.

3Beat eggs (yolk and white together) on high speed for 2 minutes. Add sugar. Continue beating. Reduce the speed to medium. Now add oil and honey. Keep beating.

4Now quickly grate the apple after removing the skin. Add lemon juice.

5Using a spatula, add the sifted flour and grated apple.

6Do not stir the batter. Mix it very gently.

7Add 1 tbsp of water if the batter is too thick..

8Transfer the batter into the prepared tin.

9Bake for 35-40 minutes at 140 degrees C for 35-40 minutes or until done.
