This cheesy bread is flavoured with garlic, red chilli flakes and thyme . I used cottagecheese ,mushroom, olives ,capcicum ,onion and mozzarella cheese for the topping .

  • Prep: 1 hr
  • Cook: 15 mins

Ingredients

2 cups All purpose flour

1 tsp Instant dry yeast

1 tbsp Sugar

1/4 tsp Salt

1 cup Warm water

1 tbsp Oil

Ingredients for the flavoured oil ..

1 tbsp Garlic paste

2 1/2 tbsp Olive oil

1/2 tsp Salt

Directions

1Mix garlic paste and olive oil in a bowl and heat it in microwave for a minute . Keep it aside and let it cool .

Direction for the dough..

1Mix together flour, yeast, sugar, salt and oil in a bowl .

2Add warm water and knead well .

3Knead well 8-9 minutes until it is shiny and elastic .

4Shape it into a ball , apply oil and transfer it into a well oiled bowl . Wait for the first rise .

5Let the dough double in size .

6Once it is doubled , gently punch and knead for a minute . The dough will be around 378 gms .

7Around 80gms of dough is needed for the base . (Cover the rest of the dough with a cling film and refrigerate ) On a floured surface , roll the dough into 8" round shape .

8Dust an 8 " round pan with flour and transfer the dough into the pan . I used a non stick pan .

9Apply the oil /garlic mixture using a brush .

10Using a fork ,prick several holes in the crust to prevent bubbling . Cover it with cling film and refrigerate .

11Take around 70 gms of dough and roll it into rectangle shape .Using a sharp knife ,slice the dough into 4"x 1" strips .

12Further slice each strip into two as shown in picture .

13Dust it with flour and tie it in a knot .

14Place it on the base and press gently with a fork . Leave some space between each knot .

15Apply oil/garlic mixture again .

16Spread the pizza sauce evenly and the topping of your choice . I used cottage cheese ,mushroom ,black and green olives ,onion , mozzarella cheese ,red and yellow capsicum . Sprinkle red chilli flakes and thyme .

17Pre heat the oven at 180 degree C for ten minutes .Bake for 12 minutes with top and bottom rod on . Take the pan out and brush garlic / oil lightly and bake for another 2-3 minutes until the top is slightly golden brown in colour . Brush it with butter liberally.
