1Boil two cups of water . Add blue Pea flowers. Continue boiling on low heat . Let the water reduce to 1 cup. Turn off the heat. Let it cool well. Pass the liquid through a strainer. Keep it liquid ready.
For the dough
1Mix all the dry ingredients except cherries together.
2Add the liquid. Knead the dough for 6 minutes.
3Add melted butter.
4Knead for another 3-4 minutes.
5Shape the dough into a ball.
6Place it in a well oiled bowl.
7Cover it with cling film. Allow it to rise.
8Let the dough double in volume.
9Punch down the dough gently. Add the chopped cherries.
10Knead for a minute or two.
11Shape it into a loaf.
12Transfer the dough into a well greased 8”x3.5” aluminium bread tin.
13Cover it with cling film.
14Let the dough rise until it touches the rim of the loaf tin.
15Meanwhile per heat the oven at 180 degrees C. Turn on both the rods.
16Cover the baking tin with aluminium foil. Make a tent with aluminium foil.
17Place it into the oven.
18Bake for 25 minutes.
19Take the tin out of the oven. Remove the aluminium foil.
20Egg wash the dough.
21Place it back into the oven.
22Bake for 4-5 minutes until the crust is evenly brown.
23Turn off the heat.
24Remove the loaf from the pan.
25Allow the bread to cool well before slicing.
