3Soak raw rice for 4-5 hrs.
4Grind all the above mentioned ingredients except Baking Soda until smooth.
5Transfer the batter to a high container and allow the batter to ferment for 6 hrs undisturbed.
6Once fermented, stir the batter gently. Mix 1 tsp baking soda in 1 tbsp water. Add to the batter. Stir well.
7Heat a non stick pan/ dosa tawa. Pour a ladle of batter when tawa/pan gets hot. Cover with a lid for a minute.The white batter turns slight yellow when cooked. Remove from the pan.Serve hot with spicy Chicken Curry.
11Store extra appams in banana leaf to prevent the appams from drying.
