Directions
For the chocolate sauce
1Mix cocoa powder and sugar well. Add water and salt. Heat on low flame until thick and glossy. Turn off the heat. Let the sauce cool.
For the topping
1Slice the plums. Line a baking tin with parchment paper. Transfer the plums to the prepared tin. Sprinkle sugar, cinnamon powder and salt on top. Bake for 20 minutes at 140 degrees C.
For the bread
1Keep the stand mixer bowl ready. Mix all the ingredients together except water and egg.
2Mix all the ingredients on low speed. Add gently beaten egg and water.
3Knead on medium speed for 10 -12 minutes. Now add oil. Knead for another 5-6 minutes.
4Shape the dough into a ball. Cover it with cling film. Let in double in volume.
5Punch down the dough gently. Knead for 2-3 minutes.
6Grease and dust a loaf tin. Shape the dough into a loaf. Place the dough into a loaf tin for second proofing.
7Meanwhile pre heat the oven at 180 degrees C.
8Bake for 30 minutes . Take the tin out of the oven.
9Remove the loaf from the tin. Apply butter liberally.
10Let the bread cool well.
11Now slice the bread.
12Take 6-7 slices. Slice it into cubes.
13Toast the bread cubes on low heat until crisp.
14Take a 9” pan.
15Arrange the toasted cubes evenly. Pour 3/4 cup milk over the bread pieces.
16Add 1 cup sugar. Pour the prepared chocolate sauce.
17Pre heat the oven at 140 degrees C. Bake for 30-35 minutes until firm.
18Take the tin out of the oven. Spread the prepared plums on top.
19Place the tin in the oven. Bake for another 15 minutes @140 degrees C.
20Turn off the heat.
21This delicious pudding can be served warm with vanilla ice cream.
