Ingredients

2 cup All purpose flour /maida

1 1/2 tsp Baking powder

1/4 Salt

3/4 cup Granulated sugar

1/2 cup Butter (room temperature)

2 Egg

2 tsp Orange zest

2 tbsp Orange juice

2 tbsp Blueberry finely chopped

1/4 cup Chocolate chips

Directions

1In a bowl beat butter ,sugar and orange zest well .

2Add lightly beaten egg and beat well .

3Sift in flour ,salt and baking powder .

4Mix well .

5Add finely chopped blueberries ,orange juice and chocolate chips.

6Mix well using a spatula .

7Cover it with cling film and refrigerate for 20 mins .

8Divide the dough into two parts . Cover one part of the dough with cling film and refrigerate it . This can be used later.

9Line a aluminum tin with parchment sheet . I used a Swiss roll tin . Pre heat the oven at 150 degree C. Shape the dough into 7" long x 2" wide x 1.5 " high log . Egg wash the dough for an even brown colour (optional)

10Place the tin in the middle rack and bake for 12 minutes with top and bottom rods on.Check with a wooden toothpick if it is done .The tooth pick should come out clean .

11Cool it for 15 minutes . When cooled move the log to a cutting board and cut it diagonally in to thick pieces.

12Arrange the biscotti cut side down on a wire rack and bake at 140 degree C for 8 - 10 minutes.

13Now transfer the biscotti to another rack and let it cool.

Also, can we use dried blueberries?
